Millicent is a Birmingham, AL native and joined EWC in 2014. Having served as a youth leader in prior organizations, she bridges passion with creativity then marries it with her love for Christ and people. Millicent believes that serving should be fun and is always looking for ways to incorporate a fun element to ministry demands, which makes her leadership style unique. In her spare time, Millicent enjoys playing games, baking, attending plays and spending time with her family.

Christie is a native of Birmingham, AL. She, her husband and their two daughters joined EWC in February 2024. Her passion for children’s ministry began at an early age through active involvement in the church choir, dance, step team, and youth programs. Inspired by her mother’s service as a Youth Director, she later returned to her childhood church to serve as a Co-Lead in the ministry. For Christie, investing in children is more than service; it is a calling. She is dedicated to helping young people grow in faith, confidence, and purpose and is honored to serve the families of Empowerment Word Church.

Anjell joined EWC in 2022. She began serving in the Student Ministry almost immediately. Working with youth and young adults has been a long-time passion for her, so much so that she has devoted her life’s work to it. She is a retired educator with more than 27 years of combined classroom and administrative experience. In the summer of 2014, she completed the requirements for her doctorate in Educational Leadership. It’s safe to say, “your children will learn” under her tutelage.

Dwight and Katina are natives of Mobile, AL with years of experience in serving and mentoring youth from diverse backgrounds, including students impacted by incarceration as well as those attending private, parochial and public schools. They possess a deep passion to see young people develop a strong relationship with the Lord while becoming confident leaders in their faith and communities. They joined EWC in 2023.
